PAY ATTENTION, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT

April 29th, 2012

A lady asking for a hot coffee at the counter in the local café, she said “this coffee is not hot enough, I really like HOT! And this is not hot enough, surprised enough but obligingly took the cup of coffee back and made sure she got a really hot cup of coffee, so when she took a sip she had an expression of satisfaction on her face and thanked him for it.

Some people seem to not care if they bother others with their “important” demands, but they want it their way because it’s important to them.

Does it bother you when you feel someone is nagging you for something that is important to them only? When they want to have it their own way?

Let’s look at it, if you have a relationship with a person, be either a relative, a friend, a boss, a school mate, a team mate, a working mate, etc. is because there is a reason to be with that person to begin with, right? You have already granted certain degree of importance to them, and you have allowed them to have a certain degree of influence upon you, haven’t you? And to that degree you allow them to be with you for a certain period of time.

So wouldn’t be wise to make arrangements between you and them to pay attention to what’s important to each of you? You can always regulate the length of time you are going to spend with them, can’t you?

Why not look at things from their own viewpoint? Because every person have things they like, which are very important to them. So why not see that it is important for them and pay attention when you are with them.

Yes, he likes it blue, she likes it green, so when I am with him I make it blue, and with her I make it green, because it is important to them that way, and it’s OK, I will make what’s important to you when I am with you, it’s OK, because it’s important for you.

VIEWING LIFE FROM THE TOP

March 31st, 2012

One can view life from the top, from the middle or from the bottom; it’s all a matter of choice.

Experiences tend to make us afraid of heights, so from being powerful beings capable of living experiences at great heights now we live at ground level so falling is not that painful.

From the top life is viewed as an experience and with joy, yes an enjoyable experience, whatever it may be, because there are no real catastrophes happening at the top.

Because those at the top chose to live in abundance, but the basic abundance they have is an abundance of affinity and responsibility, so they know that whatever it happens to them they created it in the first place, and because they created their past, so they are able to create their future as well.

Your life, in the final analysis is what you chose it to be. You can be at a party, a reunion, on a trip, in a bus, in an airplane, living in a house or an apartment, driving a luxury high class car or an old small compact car, it doesn’t matter what the circumstances are, one is going to evaluate and decide how that experience is for him, and it’s going to be either good or bad, a joy or a nightmare, a pleasure or a pain, a lesson or punishment.

You could ask: But how could you be glad to lose a job, to lose a sale, to lose a contract, to lose your investments in the stock market? To lose a contest or an opportunity? To have your house burned down, to lose your business, to lose a person you have loved deeply?

Let’s look at this, do you like sports? There is something called sportsmanship, where you assume a role, you practice, practice, practice, you become good at it, you communicate with your team mates, you plan how you are going to win, you prepare for that special game, and if you lose you huddle together to plan for the next time to make it a win. As a matter of fact there is no champion either individual or team who has not had a loss in their life, but how did take those losses?

It’s a matter of choice, you choose to put a label to that experience, you can label it as good or bad, joyful or painful, as a lesson or as a punishment. What labels have you put on your own experiences?

Can you see this? You have made your life the way you wanted, the way you chose; therefore you can make your life for the future.

Life at the top is an abundance based on an abundance of AFFINITY and RESPONSIBILITY; you can label your life as good or as bad as you want to, you can remember it forever as good, funny, incredible or terrible, it’s your choice.

How did you CHOOSE that experience to be for you? Are you able to play the game of life with SPORTSMANSHIP? Are you willing to take full responsibility for life?

You can examine your life and say “This is what has been my life” and “What am I going to make life now?” Apply affinity, apply responsibility , apply sportsmanship, apply power of choice.

Life is what you want it to be – You have created your own past, and your future is going to be your past in the next future.

People at the top view life with an abundance of affinity and responsibility and they remain at the top no matter what happens; whereas people at the bottom with no affinity and no responsibility wish to be at the top but they remain at the bottom, because of those missing ingredients.

So, view life from the top and remain at the top.

RISING FROM DEATH

February 29th, 2012

Life looks different when you wish to live it than wishing to die.

I had a great childhood, but in my teen years I started to be depressed, I started to face the real problems I had in my own mind which didn’t have a chance to manifest till I had to face the world trying to be successful, all of a sudden my mind seemed to be stopping me from communicating , from establishing relationships I wanted, from having a good job, from getting along with others.

Some people feel they have a black cloud, well mine was invisible but nevertheless there it was, pouncing at me at every chance making me feel I was a puppet, and giving me its “solution” every time: SELF-HATE and SELF-DENIAL.

It made me feel as if my fate had been written and I was not supposed to enjoy or succeed in life, and my family kept instilling their own “truths” of how to solve our problems: “We were supposed to make sacrifices to be able to survive, we had to somehow be obedient and be good” except I didn’t really had a clear definition or vision of what I had to be obedient to or what a being good meant.

So I became less and less happy, more and more depressed, I disliked myself more and more, and of course when you get into that frame of mind you are not successful and life is miserable, a perfect recipe to then WISH TO DIE.

Death is the ending of it all, but down deep we know it’s also the way to start all over again and hopefully in a different way.

I heard about self-esteem, but I had the consideration that liking myself was being vain and egotistical and I was not supposed to be that, I was to be humble and submissive, even though I was being miserable.

And that made me to deny others and to feel alone. And how incapable I felt I was. And how small my own universe became.

I was navigating through life like a small boat floating in a raging sea, and working hard at keeping my poise while constantly being beaten by the violent waves which were being agitated by the merciless wind. And I was so effect of life that I certainly wanted to stop it. I wished life was like a ride in an amusement park, something transitory that had an end to it.

My best friends had a high level of self-confidence and self-esteem, something I felt it was a sin to be, but they were accomplishing their dreams and being happy, I didn’t want to believe that was right, somehow one day their good life was going to be taken away from them, so they better don’t be proud now, they better be humble and submissive, so they would be rewarded with a good eternal life.

But they were having friends, love, money and happiness. Their self-confidence was bothering me and I was fighting it inside of me with self-denial, “How vain it was to love myself” How could I aspire to be somebody of importance and be in the limelight of life? How vain and egotistical!

Fortunately I kept surrounding myself with people who were like them, people with high self-esteem and self-confidence. And that oozed into myself allowing me to accept it, I started to find some bits and pieces of self-esteem, I started to validate myself more and more and to see the rightnesses that were in me. And finally I feel my own universe starts to be bigger and bigger and I start to feel at home with myself. I can finally love myself.

LIFE ASPECTS

January 31st, 2012

When we are born we come to this world crying and in total confusion. We need a lot of protection, love and care. We don’t know about anything in life but just feel hungry, to satisfy some basic needs, and to try to feel comfortable somehow.

We enjoy having our parents and some relatives showing care and love for us, and we feel that life would be great if we would be getting that kind of treatment all the time and keep playing with our toys and games.

And as we grow up we start to have to face other people and certain obligations that for some reason they are not as pleasant as the games we play. And we start to realize life has some many more aspects to it, and many times we don’t know how to deal with most of them. You know like: trying to have a successful relationship, being successful with one’s studies, succeeding at sports and other social skills, and of course having a great job and making money.

But although most of our activities and aspects of life are very simple indeed, most of the time they don’t seem to be that simple. Why? Because when we don’t communicate or don’t have anyone to communicate it is not that life becomes more difficult or complex, but our mind does become difficult and complex, making it hard for us to think clearly and continue to see life in a simple way.

Try it, when life becomes difficult instead of keeping it all in your mind find a good friend and communicate what you are running into and if that friend can just listen you’ll see how simple life can be.

ABOUT RELIGION AND RELIGIONS

December 31st, 2011

Why do the founders of America made it part of the Bill of Rights to be able to have freedom or religion?

What does religion mean? It is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature and purpose of the universe, usually involving rituals and a moral code governing the conduct of their followers. It is a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices agreed upon by a number of persons.

I grew up in a Christian Roman Catholic family, with Jesus Christ as our God and the Virgin Guadalupe as the superior virgin to all other virgins, but when I came to America nobody would recognize the sacred virgin of Guadalupe, what a sacrilege I thought. And the use of God in swearing was very common, what a blasphemy I thought.

I also never understood those other foreign and strange religions; they just didn’t exist to me before I came to America, then I learned this is the land of the freedom of religion, but I wished all those silly religions were simply abolished or forgotten. What’s the purpose of them all?

Was my religion silly too? Oh, no, that was the only one that should prevail and continue forever.

Almost casually I started to read and learn about religions. Then I began to put order into my thoughts about them.

Religions have been all about not only finding the true of our nature and purpose of our living, but also about finding the freedom of mental pain, anxiety, depression and uncertainty about our existence. They do mean to give us comfort and a feeling of security.

Religions give us peace of mind and a great sense of love and harmony, things we deeply cherish.

I believe the TRUTH will eventually unify all our religions and so religion will be truly the vehicle where we all can find peace of mind, love and harmony.

I wish you a Happy New Year!!!

FEAR OF GOD

November 30th, 2011

I was raised in a very Roman Catholic family, and since I was a child I kept hearing about the fear we must have about God, or fear of God.

And it wasn’t till I grew up that I realized the great majority of people don’t understand the subject of religion, and they don’t even know some history of religion. They don’t know when religion originated, and its evolution or confusion or corruption. I see most of the people understand that religion is that temple their family visits once a week.

Particularly the western religions originated in Middle East, i.e. Judaism, Christianism and Islam tend to depict God as an all powerful judge or even an executioner, someone that is always watching you and ready to pounce on you any moment you do something wrong. Somebody who is ready to punish you the moment you do something wrong.

Now I’ve asked some people: Do you really believe God is like that? Is God watching you all the time?

Do really believe God is watching you on everything you do? If so, then why do you things he doesn’t like you to do even though he is watching you?

What about not being able to really love those around you? Or even not being able to love others? And how come we indulge into being angry at others or even hating them?

Now, let’s take a look at this vision. Imaging God is all powerful being as he is, loving everybody, granting life to everything that is around us, do you really feel someone like that would behave as an executioner?

Why do we keep picturing God as a mirror of our own barbarous, callous, insensitive, merciless, rough, rude, even savage behavior? Why not instead picture ourselves and mirror God with a behavior of the greatness he is? As loving, caring, sensitive, generous, humane individuals?

What if everyone of us would had the capability to love, starting with oneself – because many people cannot love even themselves – wouldn’t we have a peace of mind? And being in comfort with oneself, being able think freely, and to create? And being in harmony with others?

There are those who are happy being pious by mentioning the word “God” and at the same time condemning the rest of us for some imagined “reasons” they have in their minds “dictated by God!” making them feel they are right. They adopt an attitude of “I am with God, and you are not, so I am protected and you are not.”

But is their behavior dictated by God or by those who headed the Holly Inquisition torturing innocent people being accused of heresy? Hinduism started about 3,200 years BC, Judaism about 2,000 years BC, Buddhism about 500 years BC, and none of them engaged in bloody and criminal persecutions killing people for having a power of choice of belief. And to my understanding these religions are not obsessed with the word God.

Heresy is a Greek word meaning “choosing” so people had no right to choose, they didn’t have religious freedom.

I want to remind you that the original pilgrims came to America to establish a land of freedom, and where people could have a free mind to believe and to choose what people felt it was right for them, free of dogmas and inquisitions.

What does religion mean? It is a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices agreed upon by a number of persons. And those beliefs and practices normally make people feel comfort in their lives which gives them a sense of security and peace. Religion is a place where we can escape from the everyday problems and challenges of life. And there is where we can communicate and try to be understood by others. Where we try to live in harmony with any man or woman we meet.

And I do believe God is in good terms with us no matter what.

RAW GREEN LEAF VEGETABLES

October 23rd, 2011

I grew up with delicious home made food prepared by my mother. I remember going with her to the Food Market, which is nothing like a modern Super Market, the traditional food market has individual vendors selling their own goods, and you can find there everything that there is in a super market, except that there are a lot of conversations taking place, instead of the soft, smooth music in the background filling in the silence.

There were no canned, frozen or packaged foods, there were no preservatives. The smells were strong and sharp and the tastes of food had a lot of flavor. People didn’t think about vitamins, minerals, organic food, as every food was whole and grown naturally by organic means.

As the industrialization was conquering and invading our markets, we started to see super markets, canned food, packaged food, bottled food, etc. as they were easier to transport and to store there was a need to add preservatives to keep them from rotting. And housewives started to love them as the task of preparing foods and cooking was made easier or even eliminated, so the idea of making fast food became popular.

And whoever thought there was an evil spell attached to this new way of feeding our bodies? Our man-made industrialization was again defying the natural way of living, and as we have witness many times and in different ways violating the laws of nature is a sort of blasphemy. And I wish we could have command of the subject of chemistry so we could produce delicious and nourishing food with the same quality as nature provides it to us, but quicker and even in an instant way, so we’d not have to worry so much how to nourish our bodies best. Just imagine what a fabulous concept of having nutritious canned or packaged food, ready to eat in a snap giving our body all what it needs without having to worry about crops or harvesting? The day our science is able to do it we’ll have food forever, no worries. But as of today we are not there yet. And I do hate that Monsanto and companies like that are experimenting with our populations creating more harm than good.

As of today we still have to eat foods that are well accepted by our bodies in order to keep them full of energy and healthy. And although I’ve always tried to pay attention to what I eat even if I occasionally ate junk food, I try to control myself and nourish my body with whole nutritious foods, but it’s been harder to find these type.

Also I’ve been noticing that after one reaches the 35 years old mark, every 5 years or so we grow older the body tends to work less optimum than before, and after the 50’s the body’s systems are even less optimum. And it is when I started to have a problem with weight, before this age I never did, I would gain it and I would lose it, but after 50 I notice I was gaining more weight and more volume, and it was harder and harder to lose it, and my level of energy became less and less. And for the first time I started to get into dieting, but with no much of a success. Then I found the problem for me, which might not be the problem for others, and that was parasites!

And I found out those little creatures love sweet stuff. So I stopped eating fruits (which I used to eat pounds everyday), honey, chocolates, dairy products and baked goods. And I got into a diet of RAW GREEN LEAF VEGETABLES in the form of vegetable juice and salads.

And I started to feel lighter, I controlled my body weight, reduced the volume and I regained a lot of energy.

I am not really fond of eating every type of vegetable but I do enjoy my raw Mixed Green Herbs Salads, my body loves them, my budget loves them and I the toil of having to cook and prepared foods or going to the restaurant for meals is now history.

And as I started to adopt this new diet and getting into the groove I’ve started to enjoy being free of parasites (or at least have them under control) and I have taken eating fruits again, adding the to my salad, especially strawberry’s or apples are good for salads. And I occasionally eat a couple of eggs, been soup, lentils soup, barley soup, baked potatoes and yams (very yummy), some whole bread. And if I am at a party or trip I eat almost everything that feels right.

I should mention that Grapefruit seed extract has been helping a lot to get rid of the parasites (10 drops in the morning with warm water).

Do you have your own LIFE OPERATOR’S MANUAL?

September 29th, 2011

Most of us when we get older tend to look back at those things we have done in various stages or our life, those major decision we made, which sometimes didn’t seem to be that major, and we ponder on them thinking what would be of us now if we had done or decided differently?

The habits we adopted or those that we abandoned or neglected. The way we thought of certain activities or people. The relationships we made or didn’t make. Those paths we took or we didn’t take, some principles that proved to be effective and some that were false and ineffective.

Some decisions made a major impact or change in our lives, which make us think more deeply, but also there are many good experiences we can use now to help us and to help others to make successful decisions.

But what if we put together all that wisdom we accumulate through our lives to make it our Life Operator’s Manual? Do you think that could give us more certainty and confidence on how to live life? And be wiser and smarter in living life? Being able to make better decisions?

We grew up with no real guidance or a LIFE OPERATOR’S MANUAL, but can we put one together for ourselves, one based on facts, no opinions, and principles that have proven to work well?

What if we create the habit of analyzing our actions and being able to judge them or assign some value to them at the end of the day or week? To be able to re-evaluate ones actions, decisions and habits?

Would that makes more capable of creating our life and creating our own destiny? Instead of waiting for whatever may to come or happen?

I see successful people plan their life and to some degree they have their Life Operator’s Manual, and that puts them in control of achieving what they want in life and from life.

You can start with this simple task: plan a short term goal you want to achieve, then decided what actions you are going to take and what habits you are going to adopt that will help you to get there, then every day review your decisions, actions and habits, and according to your own review plan your day for tomorrow, for next week, for next month to finally attain that short term goal.

So determine your own future and destiny. Create your own Life Operator’s Manual.

(P.S. – I see many older people just watch the young people grow with no contribution of their own to teach them how to be successful. In part is because the few contributions they make are based on their own opinions, misevaluated, unevaluated experiences, mixed with false perceptions or just not well stated or demonstrated thus making them sound or feel ridiculous or inapplicable. Also older people tend to feel tired and low in energy with a certain feeling of apathy towards life. But if they were able to better contribute to the young people they would all of a sudden become more valuable people to have around.)

LET’S HAVE SOME TOLERANCE

August 30th, 2011

Tolerance is something most people cannot tolerate!

After looking into our problems in our society since the beginning of history; like economy, moral decline, social clashes, and religious conflicts, I ran into a word which if it was put into practice by every one of us we could stop having these social maladies. And that word is TOLERANCE.

Tolerance as a noun is defined as: a fair, objective and permissive attitude toward opinions and practices that differ from one’s own.

Tolerate as a verb is: to allow the existence, presence, practice, or act of without prohibition or hindrance; permit.

It is common to see all around us people rejecting or not allowing other people to express their own creations or even their own opinions. And of course we have various degrees of shades between the extremes. But can you see how many conflicts we have just because people don’t tolerate others existence, presence, practice or activities!

And I am not focusing on the negative or destructive “creations” of others, I am focusing on natural creations like: the color of our skin, the forms of our bodies, i.e. too fat, too thin, too tall, too short, a big nose, a short nose, or the way they talk, the way they dress, etc. let me ask you: Can you permit someone to else to express their views? Are you willing to have what others want to give you? Accept what they present to you? Can simply see it and be tolerant?

If people would be able to tolerate others creations there would be no conflicts. But many choose to not be tolerant and make others wrong, they simply say “You are wrong! I am right!” “Therefore I don’t have to tolerate your creation!” and this usage of right – wrong attitude escalates beyond a personal conflicts social disturbance and wars!

But what if we were able to just perceive and accept what other people were naturally creating and presenting it to us? And give them their own right to their own natural creations? Do you think people would be living in harmony with each other? And have no economical problems? Do you think people would be more creative and more productive? Would we have a need for wars and moral codes?

Are you having a hard time doing the right thing for others? We try to have the right color of our skin, the right color of our hair, of our clothes, of our car, of our house, and you might ask yourself “When am going to get the right color for every one?” “When am going to get the right size for every body?” “When am I going to get it right for every body?” and is there a point where “Can I be right?” Well, yes it is when they allow you to be right! And that’s TOLERANCE.

I see that zero tolerance or high intolerance is they way to social conflicts, bad economy and eventual destruction. Therefore I am adopting a new motto, INTOLERANCE WON’T BE TOLERATED! Can you tolerate others?

ARE YOU INDIVIDUATED?

July 31st, 2011

Are you living in your little world living a life by yourself for yourself?

Have you not been able to find the man or woman of your dreams?

Is it hard for you to find the right match? You just cannot find THE ONE, the right one?

Has it been hard for you to have a good job? Or a good position in your company?

I’ve always wondered why some people just clam up and don’t talk, why some people just ignore everybody and concentrate fully on their TV show, video game, book, or playing with sex images and masturbating.

Well, I don’t wonder any more, I know those people have fallen into an abyss it is hard for them to climb back out of it. And it is hard because they are wallowing in mud, so they cannot have a firm base to stand up and be able to walk out of it.

Now, the real meaning is that those are people who are not able to be proud of themselves, so they lack self-confidence, so they cannot walk tall and able to hold a good conversation, so they cannot make real good friends, so they cannot have a real good relationship, so they cannot have a good job, so they cannot make good money, so they are poor and worse of all they feel alone and abandoned.

But is there a way out? And so what is it? Yes, there is and it starts with realizing that one is not living and alone and that other people do matter in our own lives. So what others do really have an influence on us and what one does have an influence upon others.

After this step is done, then one can take further steps to climb back out of the abyss one is in.
